It’s that time of the year where charities are gearing up for Christmas so we thought we’d share some awesome, inspiring end of year/Christmas campaigns we’ve spotted from charities big and small.

#NotWhoTheyAre by West London Mission

They don’t use ‘Christmas’ in their copy, but this time of year – when it’s cold, dark and we’re all looking forward to spending time with loved ones – is a good opportunity to raise awareness of homelessness and to raise funds to help support people who are living on the streets.

We’re so proud of West London Mission, who are one of our BRIDGE participants, for their first ever ad campaign! We think it’s brilliant.

Paddington and UNICEF

We love this idea by UNICEF, who has partnered with Paddington Bear, to let supporters build a special parcel to give to vulnerable children this Christmas. And if you send a parcel, you’ll receive a special letter from Paddington himself!

#OutOfTheCold by akt

24% of homeless young people identify as LGBT. Akt is a charity who provides safe homes and better futures for lgbtq+ young people. This Christmas they’re asking people to support their campaign to help LGBTQ+ young people feel safe and have somewhere to stay should they not be able to go home this winter.

#JustOneBook by BookTrust

Reading is such a joyful experience. For vulnerable children, Christmas can be a really difficult time and not the joyous time of year it is for many. An enchanting book can help transport a child to another place and that’s why BookTrust are asking people to donate £10 so that they can send a surprise book gift to children who are in care or vulnerable.

#WomenWithNothing by Solace Women’s Aid

Christmas is a time of year where domestic violence increases. For those women who escape an abusive relationship, they often leave with nothing but the clothes they’re wearing. Solace Women’s Aid is asking for people to donate £10 to help give a box of basic – but fundamental – items to help these women feel protected and supported.

#MoreThanAStory by Scottish Book Trust

Reading to your baby is one of the best and easiest ways for parents to bond with them, yet research shows that younger parents are less likely to read to their babies, particularly during the very early stages. This Christmas, Scottish Book Trust is asking supporters to donate £5 to give a book to a teen parent so that they can read to their baby. Your gift will help them and their baby have the best start together.

Crafternoon by Mind

Who doesn’t love getting stuck into a fun afternoon of making stuff? Crafternoon is an opportunity to get your friends and family together (or your work colleagues) for a fun afternoon of crafting (and chatting) whilst raising money for Mind.

Kidsmas by Barnardo’s

Kidsmas is a new Christmas fundraising campaign by Barnardo’s where you can build a virtual snowman and ask people to throw a snowball at you (which is actually a donation!) to help vulnerable children this Christmas. All the fun of a snowball fight without getting wet!

#ChristmasJumperDay by Save the Children

Is it even Christmas if you’re not wearing a festive Christmas jumper? Save the Children is back with their annual Christmas Jumper Day – helping to raise millions for children across the world. The wackier, the better! And bonus points if your jumper lights up.

#FlowHoHo by Bloody Good Period

Once again Bloody Good Period is asking people to send a #FlowHoHo parcel to girls and women who need them. Last year they raised over £17k, which sorted 2,000 periods. Amazing!

We love all of these campaigns. We hope they’ve inspired you to create a Christmas campaign yourself!
