It’s important to be strategic during turbulent times. Having clear goals in mind can help you avoid wasting time on tasks that don’t add value to your end goal. We are excited to announce a brand new feature to help your charity succeed. You can now set your SMART goals in our social media platform to measure your success over the next months.
How do you plan your content on social media? Not all times are equally engaging for your followers, that’s why it’s important to discover the best times to post.
Sometimes people can freeze up when they hear words like “analytics” and “insights”. That’s understandable – what do they mean and, more importantly, how are they useful to you?
Hashtags can be very powerful for your social media presence. It’s not always easy to know which ones to use in every post. That’s why we’re introducing our new Hashtag Generator at Lightful. 🎉
It’s been quite a while since we’ve been in touch to share some of Lightful’s latest updates, and with the wild ride that is #GivingTuesday, plus gearing up for end of year giving, we wanted to update you on a few of our latest features designed to save you time, and allow you to make the most of social.
Did you know that 17% of annual giving takes place in December? It’s the perfect opportunity to tap into the generosity of your supporters by launching an end of the year fundraising campaign. Whether it’s for Giving Tuesday on 3rd December, a Christmas or Winter Appeal, we’ve got you covered with our new Story Builder template! And it’s got a snazzy new design too. We hope you love it!
Giving Tuesday 2018 is fast approaching and it’s time to start planning the goals and content for your campaign. It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of your cause, recruit volunteers or ask for donations, on a day where everyone is feeling generous and is inspired to get involved.
Twitter recently announced that they’re cracking down on automation and the use of multiple accounts to share the same message. They said in a statement, ‘Twitter prohibits any attempt to use automation for the purposes of posting or disseminating spam, and such behaviour may result in enforcement action.’
Awareness days are a great way to create conversations that matter. Valentine’s Day on the 14th of February may not have seemed like an obvious day for charities to tweet or post about – isn’t it all about secret admirers or saying ‘I love you’ to your significant other?
Social media is not a broadcast channel. It’s an opportunity to have the conversations that matter, with the right people at the right time.
